Terms of Service

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Ciprian Tironeac, Romania (“we”, “us”, “our”) about the Flaro desktop app for Windows (“Flaro”), Flaro accounts and support, and this website, flaro.gg. By installing or using Flaro, creating an account, or using this website, you accept them. If you don't accept them, please don't use Flaro.

How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, which is not part of this agreement but tells you what happens to your data.

2. What Flaro is

Flaro is a companion app for League of Legends on Windows. Before a game it shows your rank, your recent games and options for runes, spells and a build; during a game it shows your own numbers in a normal window; after a game it shows a review. On your click, it writes one rune page to your League client.

A Flaro account is optional. It lets you sign in to the app and follow your support requests; Flaro works without one. Player search is arriving with Riot's approval (section 7).

Flaro is a beta. It may change, break or stop working, features may be added or removed, and features may be switched off remotely, for example if Riot's rules for third-party apps change.

3. Who can use Flaro

You must be at least 16 years old to use Flaro and to create a Flaro account, and old enough to play League of Legends under Riot's terms where you live. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian. You must be 18 or older to buy a paid plan, when there is one. You must be allowed to use League of Legends and your Riot account under Riot's terms.

4. Your licence

We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use Flaro on computers you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.

You may not sell, rent, lend or sublicense Flaro, share the private beta installer or its download link, remove its notices, or copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it despite this limit.

5. Rules of use

When you use Flaro, you agree not to:

• use it to break Riot's Terms of Service, Riot's policies for third-party apps, or any law;
• change it, or combine it with other software, so that it automates actions in League, shows timers or hidden information, or identifies players who are anonymous or hidden by Riot's Streamer Mode;
• use Flaro, including player search once it arrives, to harass, stalk, track or profile other players, or to collect data about players in bulk;
• try to get around Riot's rate limits, a player's privacy settings, or the limits built into Flaro;
• sign in to an account that isn't yours, share your account, or try to reach parts of our service that aren't meant for you;
• send spam, abuse or malicious content through support;
• attack, overload or scrape this website or our accounts server, or pretend to be us.

6. Riot Games and League of Legends

Flaro isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

Flaro uses Riot's static game data (Data Dragon) under Riot's developer policies and its “Legal Jibber Jabber” policy for fan projects. Riot Games does not endorse or sponsor Flaro.

You remain bound by Riot's own terms for League of Legends and for your Riot account, and you are responsible for your account. We can't speak for Riot, and nothing on this site or in the app is a promise about what Riot will or won't do. Flaro hasn't been registered with Riot Games yet; its application is being prepared. Until Flaro is registered, connect it only to a PBE (Public Beta Environment) account, not to your main account; the app asks you to confirm this when you switch the connection on.

If Riot changes its rules, we will change Flaro to follow them. If Riot withdraws Flaro's access to its data, the features that rely on it will stop, and we will delete the Riot data we hold, as Riot's API terms require.

7. Player search (arriving with Riot's approval)

Player search isn't in Flaro yet. It will arrive once Riot approves Flaro and gives it a production key, and it will then work through our server, so you won't need a Riot API key of your own. Flaro doesn't take or use your own Riot API key. When player search arrives, it will show public profiles only, for a Riot ID that you type, and section 5 applies to it.

8. Your Flaro account

A Flaro account is optional, and Flaro works without one. You sign in with an email code or link, Google, Discord or a passkey; there are no passwords. Keep your email account and your devices secure, because they are how you sign in, and tell us if you think someone else got into your account. An account is for one person, and it can be signed in on at most three PCs at a time.

You can delete your account at any time on your account page; it is removed at once. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us.

Flaro never asks for your Riot password. If anyone asks for it in Flaro's name, it isn't us.

You can ask for help on the support page, in the app or by email. A person answers, as soon as we can, but during the beta we can't promise a response time.

9. Price

Flaro is free during the beta, and no payment is taken. If paid plans come later, you must be 18 or older to buy one; they will have their own terms, shown to you before you pay; the payment will be handled by a payment company acting as merchant of record, named before you pay; a free version will remain; and they will start only after Riot has agreed to them in writing. Any rights that consumer law gives you for paid digital content, such as withdrawal and conformity rights, will apply.

10. Ownership

Flaro's name, logo, design and code belong to us. Champion, item, rune and spell images belong to Riot Games and come from Data Dragon and Community Dragon. The fonts are Hubot Sans and Mona Sans (GitHub) and JetBrains Mono, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; other open-source parts of Flaro are used under their own licences, listed in the app.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything for them.

11. A beta, provided as it is

Flaro, Flaro accounts and support are free and provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that they will be available, free of errors, or fit for a particular purpose. Targets, tips, rune options and review takeaways are rules of thumb, not guarantees of any result, and not professional advice.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, for anything Riot does to your account, or for lost profits or opportunities, and our total liability to you for anything related to Flaro is limited to 50 euros.

None of this limits or excludes our liability for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

13. Ending

You can stop using Flaro at any time by uninstalling it, and delete your account on your account page. We may end your licence or close your account if you break these terms, for example by using Flaro to harass other players, and we may stop offering Flaro, accounts or any feature. If we stop offering accounts, we will tell you first and give you time to download your data. Sections 6, 10, 12 and 15 continue to apply after the licence ends.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and the changelog says what changed. If a change matters for how you use Flaro, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies. If you don't agree with a change, stop using Flaro and delete your account; if you keep using it, the new terms apply.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Romania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there. Otherwise, the courts of Romania have jurisdiction.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first; most problems can be solved by email. Consumers in Romania can also contact the national consumer protection authority (ANPC).
